From UWorld to Anki and back
A silent demo. In Chrome, the UBridge extension’s popup sends the 12 questions missed on a UWorld test to Anki. UBridge’s Find Cards tab opens with 74 Anki cards found for them. Then in Find Questions, the B&B › 05 Cardio topic is chosen, Find UWorld questions makes blocks of 40 question IDs, and Copy & mark used on Block 2 marks it used, making Block 3 up next.

Why “unofficially the best”?
Unofficial because UBridge is independent. The best? Here are four reasons.
-
Works both ways
Go from UWorld to Anki and back, all in one window.
Only 3 of 25 surveyed add-ons do.
-
Ready-to-paste blocks
Blocks of 40 by default (adjustable), ordered Best first.
Most Anki to UWorld tools copy one long list.
-
Avoids repeat questions
Questions in your Question history stay out of new blocks. Paste past tests once to skip those too. Undo any block.
-
Focuses on weak spots
Build blocks from cards you repeatedly forget or recently missed.
Rare among the add-ons surveyed.
Based on a survey of 25 UWorld-related add-ons on AnkiWeb in October 2026.

Your study data stays on your computer
- Runs locally. No account, no analytics and no study data sent elsewhere.
- Question IDs only. Never reads or copies UWorld questions, answers or explanations.
- Your UWorld password stays with UWorld. Sign in directly on UWorld’s page.
- You’re in control. Cards never change without a click, and UBridge never grades them.
What UBridge and its Chrome extension (coming soon) read and store
When you click it, the extension reads question IDs and whether each was right, wrong or marked. It also does this when you open the results of a test you haven’t logged yet, so the test logs itself (Log by itself, on by default; turn it off in the extension’s settings). To identify logged tests, it also reads each test’s name, ID and date, plus the UWorld subscription number in the page URL, from UWorld’s results and Previous Tests pages. It never stores or sends question text, answers or explanations, and communicates only with Anki on your computer.
Under a question you review, the extension’s panel reads that question’s ID to show your Anki cards for it. On Boards & Beyond, it reads the video’s title and the course breadcrumbs on the page to find your matching cards in Anki on your computer. It never accesses the video itself, its notes or your sign-in details.
Button settings are stored in Chrome and may sync with your Google account if Chrome sync is enabled. Chrome also stores locally: recent UWorld test names and dates, so sent tests retain their dates; logged-test records, so status dots remain visible when Anki is closed (set Logged marks to Off in the popup to delete them); your UWorld course URL; each test’s question IDs in the order UWorld’s Navigator shows them, so the panel can match the question on screen to its cards; the addresses of Boards & Beyond videos you’ve opened, so a topic in the panel can link back to its video; and the panel’s look and text size. None of this is uploaded; it stays on this computer.
The connection requires enabling Connect the UBridge Chrome extension in UBridge’s Settings. It listens only on 127.0.0.1, responds only to the UBridge extension and cannot add, edit or delete cards.
In UBridge, Question history is saved locally. The optional UWorld window retains your UWorld sign-in on this computer. On shared computers, use UWorld in your regular browser instead.
Your First Aid PDF stays on your computer: UBridge reads it there and keeps a searchable index of each page’s words, so pages open quickly. It never copies or uploads the PDF.
UBridge’s use of this information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Frequently asked questions
Is UBridge made by UWorld or AnKing?
No. UBridge is an independent tool built by a med student, not affiliated with or endorsed by UWorld, AnKing or Anki. It uses only the UWorld question IDs already tagged in your deck.
Does UBridge read UWorld questions?
No. The add-on never reads, copies or stores UWorld questions, answers or explanations. It uses only question IDs from your cards’ tags. The Chrome extension (coming soon) reads question IDs and whether each was right, wrong or marked, never question text. See Privacy for everything it reads and stores.
Which decks and exams are supported?
Any deck with notes tagged by UWorld question ID. AnKing’s UWorld tags for Step 1, Step 2 CK, Step 3, COMLEX and MCAT work without setup, including v11 and v12 Step decks. Using different tags? Configure them in Settings to Advanced options. UWorld only; no AMBOSS or NBME support. Runs in desktop Anki, not AnkiMobile, AnkiDroid or AnkiWeb. Nothing appears during card reviews.
